THE PERFORMANCE SESSION OF VIETNAMESE AND WESTERN CLASSICAL MUSICS.


Two weeks ago, in Da Nang, the Vietnamese and Western classical music fans were entranced for several hours by the sounds of music of solo performance and concert performance of two renowned musicians named Vinh Tuan and Lawrence Williams.

The performance was organized by the Red Cross Youth group, sponsored by Da Nang Cultural Development Committee.

Through Writer Duy Lam’s charming introduction, Musician Vinh Tuan was known as a professor of Hue’s National Musicology School. He has made known the age-old art of Vietnam all over the province in Central Vietnam and Central Plateau. Lawrence Williams is a young musician, graduated from Texas University with a B.A degree in piano and basson. His name has been recorded in the history book of big names of the US University. He also won awards in music and drama before coming to Vietnam.

Notes:

1) Vinh Tuan with the clarinette.
2) Vinh Tuan is playing “ a Central Vietnam sad melody” with a Vietnamse 16-chord zither.
3) This is Lawrence E.Williams, the famed pianits.
